The Executive Council Of Dubai

The Executive Council of Dubai is the governing body tasked with the city's strategic planning, overseeing implementation and measuring success.

The council drafts and oversees general policy, enforces local and federal laws, established government entities, approves laws and decrees before submission to the Ruler of Dubai.

IN-HOUSE PARTNERSHIP

We have worked embedded within the Council’s General Secretariat to provide strategic support, conduct research, present recommendations, and develop an implementation roadmap and associated brand communication for several key city-wide initiatives. We often work collaboratively with management consulting firms, creative and event activation agencies and other vendors on behalf of the client to deliver a thorough strategic and practical solution.

KEY PROJECTS

Our projects so far have included working on the council brand strategy and positioning, developing a city-wide disability program from partnerships to the brand identity and launch event (My Community), repositioning the city's oldest excellence award (DGEP), defining and branding the decision-making technology framework of the city (Qarar) and packaging the city's entity-level governance guidelines for all public entities (Dubai Organisational Design Guide).

CASE: STRATEGIC POSITIONING

We worked with the Strategy Team of the council to help develop a cohesive public-facing corporate structure, brand positioning and communication strategy. This included conducting several board-level workshops, testing brand challenges, goals & objectives, personality and positioning recommendations through several scenarios. We then proceeding to build a comprehensive communication strategy -- including key messages, audience mapping, events & outreach strategy, definition of channels and messaging frequency, together with a milestone-driven communication calendar.
